Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd, acting for a Lincolnshire security specialist, invites applications for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow contracted security services across private and public sectors.

You will lead tenders, bids and direct sales, building long-term relationships while expanding offerings in guarding, CCTV, key holding and mobile patrol services. Hybrid working is available; base + OTE are negotiable.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in exclusive partnership with a rapidly growing Security & Safety SME sized business based in Lincolnshire, recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Security services (retail manned guarding, key holding services, CCTV control rooms & mobile patrols services)

The company have SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) & has CHAS accreditation.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of the company’s contract security services. Reporting directly to the Directors, the role is dedicated to winning new business across an array of security services. As the BDM your key focus will be on building a strong portfolio of long-term security contracts within both private & public sector clients. This business development role is suited to a commercially driven security professional with a proven record of securing new security contracts through tenders, bids & direct sales activities. You will be strong in putting together sales strategies & delivering the set strategy operationally to achieve significant revenue growth & a profitable service offering.

Duties:

• Identify & secure new business for providing security services across Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & Kingston upon Hull / Humber areas
• Develop and implement a practical growth strategy that is aligned to the company objectives
• Self-generation of leads & building / managing a sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities across both the private & public sectors.
• Monitor procurement portals and frameworks to identify suitable tenders
• Lead tender bids, PQQs, RFI’s, selection questionnaires & proposals.
• Attend clarification meetings, site surveys, presentations & interviews
• Maintain a library of tender bid content including case studies & references
• Build & maintain strong relationships with prospective & existing clients
• Negotiate contract terms & pricing, securing profitable contracts.
• Support the mobilisation of new security contracts.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth within existing accounts
• Ensure client retention & contract renewals via strong client liaisons.
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends within the target sectors
• Support preparation for audits & external assessments.
• Provide regular reports to the Directors on pipeline, tender activity, wins, losses & performance against targets

Attributes:

• Business development / sales role experience within the security sector.
• Previous security management background (sales, operations or other).
• Experience in bidding for tenders & in securing new security contracts.
• Strong knowledge of the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS)
• Good understanding of SIA regulations & licensing requirements
• Commercially aware, with strong pricing and negotiation skills
• SIA DS Licence (desired)

The listed basic salary & OTE package is all negotiable depending on the individuals sales & business development experience levels within the security industry & security services / products. OTE will be uncapped, so the more business you generate the more you will earn.

Hybrid working is also on offer with this role with role being a mix of Lincoln office based working, home working & field based.
