Job summary

SF Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead a three-person team and build a strong pipeline of enterprise opportunities from new and existing customers. This hybrid Newark, Nottinghamshire role combines leadership, targeted outreach and hands-on CRM ownership, with a base salary of £50,000 plus a target bonus of around £10,000.

You will coach the team, own CRM data, create campaigns, and align activities with commercial priorities, reporting on KPI performance and pipeline growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and developing a business development or lead generation team.
  • Advanced, practical knowledge of a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot, including database management, pipeline reporting and workflow improvement.
  • A track record of improving the accuracy and usefulness of customer and prospect data.
  • Experience building outreach sequences, prospecting playbooks and targeted campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn CRM reporting into clear actions for the team.
  • Experience identifying and nurturing enterprise sales opportunities and working closely with sales leaders.
  • Confidence using prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Experience with data enrichment tools is useful.
  • Clear communication, sound commercial judgement and a supportive approach to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop three business development team members through regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and development plans.
  • Own the quality and day-to-day use of the CRM database, including account and contact records, segmentation, activity logging, opportunity stages and data accuracy.
  • Build CRM processes and prospecting playbooks that help the team identify the right accounts, prioritise outreach and follow up consistently.
  • Use CRM data, customer insight and market intelligence to create a business development campaign roadmap.
  • Set team and campaign KPIs, maintain dashboards, forecast pipeline growth and report on activity, conversion and opportunity quality.
  • Work with Marketing, Enterprise Sales, Key Accounts and other internal teams to align campaigns with commercial priorities.
  • Guide outreach across phone, LinkedIn, email and events, while building relationships with enterprise prospects and existing customers.
  • Ensure qualified opportunities are recorded clearly and handed over effectively to the relevant sales colleague.
  • Track sales-accepted opportunities, identify where progress stalls and use the findings to improve targeting and campaigns.
  • Develop productive relationships with relevant vendors and product partners.

The role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager/Sales Team Manager to lead a team of three and build a strong pipeline of enterprise opportunities from new and existing customers. This role combines team leadership, targeted outreach and hands‑on ownership of CRM data. You will turn business priorities into focused campaigns, make sure the team works from accurate and useful customer records, and give Sales clear visibility of opportunities from first contact through to handover and progression.
