Job Description

Are you currently working in a role selling a flexible or adaptable product or service and seeking a change? Perhaps you're looking for a Business Development Manager role with reduced hours, such as 4 days a week? Maybe you're an Account Manager or Sales Executive looking to step up?

If so, please get in touch. We are working with a renowned Cambridge-based marketing agency offering a range of services from web design to video production, content marketing to print and editorial. They seek an experienced, consultative Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition alongside their existing portfolio.

Key Duties
  • Sell and secure profitable, sustainable content marketing services, including advertising, content creation, design, digital development, digital marketing, and media sales.
  • Build and maintain a database of key contacts within target sectors via CRM.
  • Develop positive relationships with prospects.
  • Participate in creating and delivering presentations and proposals, respond to tenders, and prepare for pitches.

You will spend approximately 50% of your time on outbound cold calling and outreach, and the remaining 50% on collaborative work such as pitches. Attendance at networking events, exhibitions, and client meetings is expected, so comfort with in-person selling and presenting is necessary.

Candidates from media sales, agency sales, or those experienced in selling B2B products/services with a consultative approach are encouraged to apply.

The role can be worked over 4 or 5 days per week. For a 4-day week, salary is £50k pro-rata. The role is hybrid, with 60% of time spent in the office or with clients.
