Job Description:

Business Development Manager - Marine – Home Based – ARD1092621

We’re looking for a talented Business Development Manager to join Navigators and General. This role, reporting to our Head of Marine, offers home-based flexibility with regular travel to meet stakeholders. You will promote our Marine specialisms through existing and new broker agencies.

As the UK Commercial MGA for Ardonagh Advisory and a Gold-rated Investor in Customer insurance business, Geo specializes in Agriculture, Construction, Property, Liability, Marine, and Protection lines.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing an annual Geo Marine strategy and financial plan, setting income and profit targets across Brokers and Affinity clients.
• Identifying and driving new distribution opportunities within marine underwriting.
• Creating new routes to market by expanding the customer base and developing relevant marine propositions.
• Supporting business growth through collaboration with broker teams, networks, Affinity clients, and marketing.
• Monitoring and reporting on New Business data to inform future strategies.
• Supporting the development of sales, technical, and business skills of colleagues.
• Reviewing panel performance with leadership and developing strategies for underperforming accounts.
• Organizing social events for brokers to strengthen relationships.

Candidate requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance, including Marine.
• Experience developing business with Insurance Brokers.
• Full driving license.
• Preferably ACII-qualified or progressing towards it.
• Experience delivering income targets.
• Experience supporting product and service propositions.
• Confident public speaker with excellent presentation skills.
