Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager Apprentieships to identify and engage with SMEs and Levy employers, promoting Apprenticeship and Commercial training programmes while travel is required.

You will build new business, manage relationships, meet targets, discuss funding reforms, and report forecasts; a full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing new business with SME and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts.
• Strong CV showing longevity as a BDM within the apprenticeship/skills arena.
• Understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Experience generating employer leads, negotiating, winning and closing new business.
• Experience working towards and achieving targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage with businesses to promote Apprenticeship and Commercial training.
• Work consultatively to create new business and develop existing relationships.
• Work towards and achieve targets linked to growth and revenue.
• Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss training and recruitment needs.
• Advise employers on Apprenticeship Levy and future funding reforms.
• Undertake organisational needs analysis and design training plans.
• Keep up to date with competitors and scope out new opportunities.
• Report sales data and forecasts and meet month-end deadlines.
• Cross-sell other products to offer a well-rounded service.

Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: £40,000 + £10k OTE

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• The successful Business Development Manager will have proven experience of developing new business with SME s and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts, or Commercial training (ideally within Business Services or Early Years).
• Strong CV that shows longevity as a BDM within the apprenticeship / skills arena
• Exceptional communication skills, with the desire and drive to succeed.
• Strong understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Proven experience of generating own employer leads, negotiating / winning, and closing new business.
• Experience of working towards and achieving targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
• Must be flexible with travel (as and when required)

The Role:
