Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd partners with a leading Ofsted-rated training organisation to recruit a Business Development Manager focused on Apprenticeships. The role is home/field based and requires travel to promote apprenticeship and commercial training programmes.

You will identify new business with SMEs and Levy employers, build lasting relationships, and work toward targets. A full, clean driving licence and a proactive, consultative sales approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing new business with SMEs and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts or Commercial training.
• Strong CV showing longevity as a BDM within the apprenticeship/skills arena.
• Exceptional communication skills with drive to succeed.
• Understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Experience generating employer leads, negotiating, winning and closing new business.
• Experience working towards and achieving targets.
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Flexible with travel.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and engage with businesses to promote Apprenticeship and Commercial training programmes.
• Work consultatively to create new business and develop existing relationships.
• Work towards and achieve growth and revenue targets.
• Attend meetings with decision makers to discuss training and recruitment needs.
• Advise employers regarding Apprenticeship Levy and funding reforms.
• Conduct Organisational Needs Analysis and design training plans.
• Monitor market competition and identify new opportunities.
• Report sales data and forecasts regularly and meet month-end deadlines.
• Cross-sell other products to provide a well-rounded service.

Job Title:Business Development Manager–Apprenticeships

Salary:£40,000 + £10k OTE
Type:Full-time, Permanent

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Grade 1 Ofsted-rated Training Organisation, with over 30 years’ experience of delivering high-quality apprenticeships and vocational training.

Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, we are seeking experienced Business Development Managers to join their high-performing team.

Essential Criteria:

• The successful Business Development Manager will have proven experience of developing new business with SME’s and Levy employers for Apprenticeship starts, or Commercial training (ideally within Business Services or Early Years).
• Strong CV that shows longevity as a BDM within the apprenticeship / skills arena
• Exceptional communication skills, with the desire and drive to succeed.
• Strong understanding of Apprenticeships funding criteria and Levy spending.
• Proven experience of generating own employer leads, negotiating / winning, and closing new business.

The Role:

• Keep up to date with competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, evaluating the market and scoping out new opportunities.
• Report sales data and forecasts on a regular basis and meet month end sales deadlines.
• Cross sell other products, seizing all opportunities to offer clients a well-rounded service.
