Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager with a background in Air Freight Forwarding to win new business and manage key customer relationships across the North West. This role offers remote working with one day in the Manchester office and a strong earning potential.

You will develop a sales pipeline, drive revenue and gross profit, and work with Operations, Marketing and Telesales to tailor freight solutions.

Manchester - Remote / 1 Day a Week in the Office | North West Patch

Are you a Business Development Manager with a background in Air Freight Forwarding, looking to win new business, develop key customer relationships and maximise your earning potential within a global logistics organisation?

This global freight forwarding and logistics business operates across international markets, providing a wide range of transport and supply chain solutions to customers across multiple sectors. They are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Business Development Manager who can drive new business growth, with a particular focus on Air Freight solutions across the North West.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business, developing target accounts and building a strong sales pipeline across your designated territory. You will work closely with branch operations, marketing and telesales teams to develop tailored customer solutions, with opportunities to expand your knowledge of Sea and Road Freight through further training.

This role would suit a Business Development Manager from an Air Freight Forwarding background, with a proven track record of winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships.

The Role:

• Win new business with a focus on Air Freight solutions
• Build and manage a pipeline of target accounts across the North West
• Drive revenue and gross profit growth
• Develop long-term relationships with key customers
• Work closely with Operations, Telesales and Marketing
• Attend industry events and maintain accurate CRM records
• Receive training to develop knowledge of Sea and Road Freight
• Work collaboratively across the wider business to support regional sales targets
• Remote working, with one day a week in the Manchester office
