Medical / Scientific BDM – Territory Manager

A leading supplier to Public and Private Hospitals, Primary Care Centres, Community Diagnostic Hubs, Pharmaceutical, Academia, and Private Industries across the UK. Providing tailor-made solutions for warehousing, distribution, sales, and marketing to represent our partnered manufacturers of medical and surgical products.

Location – Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield running north to the Scottish borders, not into Scotland…

Compensation – £35‑45k base / £10k for target then fully uncapped commission and exceptional package including car and benefits.

Role Overview

Our client, a front‑runner in medical and scientific distribution, is on the hunt for a Territory Manager to join their Clinical and Life Sciences team. Handling a dedicated Territory, this pivotal role is all about driving massive business growth and securing unwavering client loyalty across the region. Forging ironclad relationships with both new and existing clients, promoting game‑changing products, and smashing those all‑important sales targets.

You will sell a range of technical laboratory solutions (Laboratory fridges, Blood Analysers, Reagents etc) into NHS and Life Science Laboratories. As a field‑based role, you’ll hit the road 60‑75% of the time, providing clients with product demos, trials, and face‑to‑face meetings. This role could offer the appointed person the opportunity to lead the team as the incumbent NSM is seconded elsewhere for the next 12 months…

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive territory growth by developing new accounts and expanding existing relationships in the NHS and Life Science laboratories.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, trials, and face‑to‑face meetings to showcase laboratory solutions.
  • Meet or exceed all sales targets and commission objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and customer support.
  • Lead and mentor the team when the incumbent NSM is seconded elsewhere for 12 months.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Associate Level – Some B2B sales experience and exposure to the scientific laboratory space.
  • Experienced Level – 12‑18 months+ scientific laboratory sales experience.
