Job Description:

Our client is an early-stage startup creating a product aimed at addressing a key problem in the RF market. They have secured substantial investment (~£24 million) with notable names in the RF space.

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to be the first dedicated sales person for the company—someone knowledgeable about the market and capable of identifying potential partners. This role offers a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company.

Job Summary

As Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Prospect Hunting: Seeking new prospects, especially companies involved in connected wearables and mobile phones.
  2. Influencer Engagement: Building relationships with high-level influencers.
  3. Collaboration and Feedback: Working with management to create effective feedback and ensure alignment.
  4. Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining high-level relationships for sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships.
  5. Industry Engagement: Engaging with media, participating in shows, and attending key venues to boost visibility.
  6. Business Development Strategy: Developing strategies to attract new business and stay ahead of market trends.
  7. Competitive Intelligence: Tracking and analyzing the competitive landscape.

Desired Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields; technical degrees preferred.
  • Several years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in semiconductor, RF components, or high-tech industries.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor and RF technologies.
  • Proven sales track record and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
