Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: North West – Ideally Manchester-based

Position Type: Full-Time, Field Based

About Them:

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing provider of employee benefits solutions. Their platform enables businesses to support, engage, and retain their employees through a suite of valuable services—from retail discounts and wellbeing resources to financial advice and development tools.

As they expand their footprint across the UK, they are looking for a motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to focus on acquiring new business clients throughout the North West region.

Job Description:

Are you a confident, face-to-face sales professional with a knack for building relationships and closing deals? This field-based role involves meeting business owners and decision-makers in person to promote a cutting-edge employee benefits platform.

While the role is primarily field-based across the North West region, we are ideally looking for someone located near Manchester, as there will be one office-based working day per week. Candidates based in other areas of the North West (e.g. Liverpool, Preston, Warrington, Bolton, etc.) are welcome to apply, provided they are happy to commit to regular travel to the Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research prospective business clients across the North West.
  • Initiate contact with key decision-makers (e.g., owners, directors, HR leads) to introduce the platform.
  • Book and attend face-to-face meetings to present the company’s employee benefits solution.
  • Tailor sales pitches to the specific needs and challenges of each business.
  • Close new business deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Accurately manage your sales pipeline and CRM updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and attend weekly in-office meetings in Manchester.
  • Act as a regional ambassador for the company, building trust and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success in B2B sales, particularly in face-to-face or field-based roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with confidence speaking to decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own schedule.
  • Excellent time management and a results-driven mindset.
  • Previous experience in employee services or medical / life insurance is beneficial.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel across the North West.
  • Must be able to attend weekly meetings at the Manchester office.
