Job description

Siemens Financial Services is seeking an experienced Account Development Manager to join our Vendor Finance team. You will identify, acquire, develop, and manage profitable new business within the soft asset markets. This is a proactive role focused on generating new business through building relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors.

As a longstanding funder in the soft asset market, we have developed a leading digital offering and continually seek innovation with new and existing customers. The role is home-based, with frequent travel across the Manchester and North-West regions to support client relationships.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Develop new relationships with clients in sectors such as Telecoms, IT, Smart Devices, Mailroom, CCTV.
  2. Proactively generate leads via client visits, outbound calls, emails, social media, networking, and trade shows.
  3. Create and follow up on a target list for potential new business.
  4. Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Business Development team to identify opportunities and manage risks.
  5. Conduct sales meetings and deliver product training to increase product knowledge and penetration.
  6. Re-engage existing clients where appropriate.
  7. Achieve sales targets aligned with company goals.
Required skills and experience:
  1. Understanding of the financing industry, especially asset finance and equipment funding.
  2. Knowledge of financial products such as leases, HPs, and loans.
  3. Proven track record in client engagement, pipeline development, and deal closure.
  4. Self-motivated with results-driven attitude.
  5. Experience leveraging digital platforms for social selling.
  6. Broad experience in new business development and key sector asset areas.
  7. High integrity and strong communication skills, including negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  8. Good IT skills and understanding of sales processes and customer behaviors.
