Key Responsibilities
Market and Client Engagement
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
  • Liaise with clients (contractors, developers, government agencies) to understand their requirements in engineering consultancy, construction project management, and related services.
  • Conduct sector‑specific market analysis to identify trends and potential areas for expansion.
Proposal and Quotation Development
  • Prepare detailed and competitive proposals, quotations, and tender submissions for consulting and engineering services.
  • Ensure all documentation is technically accurate, clearly structured, and aligned with client specifications and project scopes.
  • Collaborate with internal technical, commercial, and finance teams to gather inputs for pricing and project planning.
Sales Strategy and Performance
  • Support the development and execution of strategic sales plans focused on high‑value construction and infrastructure clients.
  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and win/loss metrics.
  • Recommend and implement sales and marketing initiatives tailored to the construction consultancy market.
Client Relationship Management
  • Manage and grow key client accounts through regular engagement and follow‑up.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and ongoing projects, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for additional services or repeat business.
Collaboration and Team Support
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and consultants to ensure alignment between technical proposals and client expectations.
  • Mentor junior team members involved in client acquisition and support functions.
Reporting and Communication
  • Produce commercial reports, sales forecasts, and client feedback summaries for senior leadership.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date CRM system and ensure all proposals and correspondence are properly logged and archived.
Planning and Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks in bid submissions and commercial proposals.
  • Support internal reviews of contract terms, client expectations, and project delivery plans.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in business development within the construction, engineering, or consultancy sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experienced in preparing formal proposals and bids.
  • Strong understanding of construction consultancy services, procurement processes, and client expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
