Summary of Role

Hall & Kay are a leading provider of complex fire protection and security solutions, committed to delivering innovative and reliable services to our customers. Due to strategic growth, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team operating within the London & South East Area. We have two roles available - one covering Fire Detection/Protection and the other our Security business.

You will be instrumental in growing the Security or Fire Protection/Detection business by responding to opportunities, prospecting, and generating new business from various sectors.

Location: Your office base will be Third Floor, 18 King William Street, London, EC4N 7BP. We offer hybrid working, so your week may involve a couple of days in the office, a couple working from home, and 1 day visiting clients on the road.

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Identify and secure Security & Fire business from new and existing clients to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  2. Respond to and track all sales leads and prospects effectively.
  3. Maintain accurate forecasts, prospects lists, quote bank, and sales reports.
  4. Maintain close relationships with key customers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  5. Adhere to company processes, rules, regulations, and policies.
  6. Carry out other sales duties as required by management.
  7. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and activity targets.
  8. Manage a pipeline of quotations to meet targets.
  9. Target regional multi-site prospects within your area.
  10. Prepare and present contracts and paperwork to clients.
  11. Attend meetings, tele-appointments, and training sessions as necessary.

What We Will Need From You

  1. Proven sales experience in Security systems or Fire Detection/Protection.
  2. Technical, solution sales background.
  3. Knowledge of security or fire detection/protection systems.
  4. PC literacy, including Microsoft products.
  5. UK Driving License.
  6. Knowledge of Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety directives.
  7. Excellent communication and listening skills.
  8. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  9. Customer-focused, results-driven, enthusiastic, and committed.

What You Can Expect In Return

  1. Salary: £50k to £60k depending on experience.
  2. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell days.
  3. Contributory pension scheme.

  7. OTE Bonus.
  8. Hours: 36.5 per week (Monday-Thursday 8.45-16.40, Friday 8.45-16.00).
