Business Development Manager

We are working with a London-based lender, currently seeking a relationship-driven, highly motivated individual to join the business. The candidate should be committed to providing exceptional customer service to their network of brokers and clients.

Must have / be:

  • A good understanding of the Bridging Finance Industry.
  • Sales and lending experience within the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience working within the bridging sector.
  • A strong network of brokers and introducers.
  • Ability to generate leads and build new relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse and present financial information to justify case considerations.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage loan pipeline.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate bridging loan applications and support the underwriting team for successful completion.
  • Assess each loan application against lending criteria.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities.
  • Develop and nurture broker and client relationships to understand their needs and develop proposals accordingly.
  • Enhance relationships by meeting clients and discussing new cases.
  • Attend industry events and functions as required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our offerings, industry competition, and positioning.
  • Identify new target markets independently.
  • Collaborate with underwriting to develop proposals addressing requirements, concerns, and objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities and strategies for campaigns and new distribution channels to increase market share.
