As a Business Development Manager at Temper, you’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle, focusing on one vertical: Logistics
This role focuses on the Golden Triangle area in the UK.
The Challenge
Conduct in-depth research into market trends, buyer and user personas, company profiles, and regional dynamics to prepare for successful client engagement.
Onboard new customers, guide them to succeed on our platform, and maximize their engagement within our marketplace.
Leverage your commercial expertise to drive the success of the business development team and contribute to Temper’s overall growth and impact.
Take an active role in acquiring new clients and consistently exceeding sales targets, directly influencing Temper’s growth trajectory.
Bring fresh ideas to an open-minded and innovative environment, helping to shape the team’s strategy and direction.
Share your knowledge and expertise to mentor junior team members, supporting their development and contributing to the team’s collective success.
Your Temper Team
The Business Development team is made up of four dynamic and dedicated colleagues. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Sales and take responsibility for driving growth in the logistics vertical at Temper.

What Makes You a Great Fit
Minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS, marketplaces, or recruitment, with a background as a Business Development Manager or Account Executive.
Proven ability to win and retain new clients.
Established book of business and contacts within logistics/e-commerce companies in the Golden Triangle area of the UK.
Strong track record in outbound sales, including lead generation and pipeline building.
Familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDD(P)IC, SPICED, or Challenger Sales.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing pipelines and prospecting activities.
Ability to understand broader business objectives, identify key decision-makers, craft tailored solutions, and navigate complex sales processes.
Proficient in using data from multiple systems to refine and optimize sales strategies.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to prospects and clients.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Great to Have
Proven experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or Looker.
