Location: The London Bridge Hospital
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (12 months), Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 0900 - 1700

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Lead to join The London Bridge Hospital.
We’re looking for a candidate with business development experience in a healthcare setting, who excels at collaboration, relationship-building and strategic growth.
The Business Development Lead will act as a key liaison for Consultants, responsible for developing and retaining referrals across all service areas. This includes recruiting new Consultants while maintaining strong relationships with existing Consultants practicing at HCA.
You will be reporting into the Head of Business Development, working alongside other BD Leads. While the role is largely autonomous, you’ll collaborate closely with our wider Business Development teams across HCA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business development team colleagues on executing strategic projects and initiatives
- Recruit and onboard new consultants, orienting them to the private practice environment at HCA
- Develop and maintain a trusting working relationship with consultants, ensuring the smooth running of their private practice at HCA
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the assigned portfolio of service lines, and specific drivers of business
- Maintain key internal systems and databases to manage consultant profiles and market intelligence
- Analyse market data for consultants and facility service lines, including referral pathway information, ensuring the relationship priorities are identified and acted upon
- Collaborate with HCA’s marketing, GP sales and events teams to support business objectives.
- An ability to work flexibly, including some unsocial hours, are integral to the role and maintaining appropriate links and access to the consultants.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience within the Private Healthcare sector, ideally within hospital providers, intermediaries or insurers
- Proven success in sales, business development, and relationship management
- Experience in developing and implementing business strategies (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Evidence of having strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills
