We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to join our team.

Role Overview

The Business Development Lead will drive revenue growth by identifying and generating new business relationships while managing existing accounts. Oncostrata is a growing consultancy and specialist oncology CRO focused on complex oncology clinical trials, delivering high-impact clinical science support to biotech and pharma clients.

Our clients value our expertise, precision, and ability to integrate seamlessly into their teams during critical moments. We combine the operational abilities of a CRO with the agility of a consulting firm, ensuring data integrity and quality documents while allowing clients to focus on strategy.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Business Development Lead with a proven track record in oncology across CRO, biotech, or pharma sectors. This role is key to expanding our client base and achieving repeatable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement growth strategy.

- Lead contract acquisition and relationship development.

- Build and strengthen long-term partnerships.

- Refine our value proposition based on the global oncology industry needs.

- Write compelling proposals, engage partners, identify new markets, and analyze pipeline data.

What You Bring

- A strong network in life sciences with the ability to open doors.

- Understanding of the clinical trial process, including setup, monitoring, and analysis.

- Experience in growing organizations, particularly in a BD/sales capacity.

- Confidence to lead conversations and close deals.

Additional Responsibilities

- Manage customer and sales pipelines using a CRM system.

- Collaborate with founders and senior scientists on sales strategy and forecasting.

- Attend relevant conferences to drive business growth and relationships.

Qualifications

- At least 5 years Business Development experience in life sciences, oncology preferable

- International experience, especially with the US market, is highly desirable.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A relevant degree, preferably MSc or PhD, in a Scientific/Life Sciences field.
