Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Winnersh, UK offers a 13-month industrial placement starting 1 July 2026, for a second-year student. You will join the Networking Business Development team, supported by a global technology leader committed to inclusion and development.

• Current pursuit of a four-year degree with an industrial placement year.
• On track to achieve a minimum 2:1.
• Eligible to work in the UK and available to start July 2026 for a 13-month placement.
• Be self-motivated, resourceful and comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
• Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills with a structured approach to work.
• Be adaptable to changing priorities and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Show creativity, curiosity and confidence in asking questions.
• Possess excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Be collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support the Networking Business Development team across analysis, reporting and events.

• Manage internal and external communications, pricing information and intranet content.
• Support distributor reviews, sponsorship events and inventory initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, channel and sponsorship teams on projects.
• Contribute to intern projects and charity initiatives.
• Provide admin and operational support as required.

What You'll Do

• Support the HPE Networking Business Development team across business analysis, reporting, communications, pricing activities and events.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards and insights using Excel, Power BI and internal business systems to support decision-making. Analyse sales performance, market share, customer trends and distributor data, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external communications, including promotions, product updates, pricing information and SharePoint content.
• Support partner engagement activities, including distributor business reviews, sponsorship events and inventory management initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, channel and sponsorship teams on a variety of business projects and priorities.
• Contribute to charity initiatives, volunteering activities and cross-functional intern projects.
• Provide administrative and operational support where required, including equipment, logistics and business coordination activities.

What You Can Expect From Us

• Develop expertise in business analytics, reporting, stakeholder engagement and commercial operations within a global technology business.
• Gain hands‑on experience using Microsoft Office, Salesforce (SFDC), Clari, CSIS and Power BI.
• Build capability using industry‑leading AI and productivity tools, including Copilot, Chat HPE, Klue, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom AI and People AI.
• Learn about HPE Networking's strategy, portfolio and market propositions, including delivering a presentation to the management team within your first 90 days.
• Build relationships with the UK&I leadership team and key stakeholders across the business.
• Participate in HPE's intern programme, including Early Careers activities, Employee Resource Groups and office‑wide initiatives.
• Complete sales readiness training delivered by industry experts.
• Attend channel partner meetings, distributor focus days and business reviews.
• Shadow Business Development Managers during customer, partner and industry engagements.
• Work alongside experienced professionals while developing your commercial acumen, analytical skills, proactive mindset and confidence using modern digital and AI‑enabled business tools.
