Business Development Executive

Location: Verwood, Dorset

Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm)

Salary: £28,875 + Bonus

About our client / role :

Our client is a supplier of commercial and industrial office equipment, already very well established with many client accounts, offering competitive prices and fast delivery for their clients. Products supplied aim to cover every business need becoming a one-stop shop for many customers.

Our client is seeking a Business Development Executive to maximise on opportunities for growing business portfolio furthering sales revenue. The aim of this role is to reach out to new customers who have recently placed orders, welcoming them and identifying needs for further support in the future.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Establishing new opportunities for new business and work closely with national business development managers to provide quality leads.
  • Secure further orders with new customers, meeting and exceeding Key Performance Indicators.
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge when speaking to customers to show them how the business can support them long term.
  • Recognise opportunities to secure purchasing contracts within customer accounts.

Skills required for the role:

  • Engage and influence sales outcomes through strong communication skills.
  • Performance driven with the aim to outperform targets and generate revenue.
  • Ability to react to changes in pace and priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communications skills, spoken and written.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to use multiple systems and databases.
  • Experience in a role with a similar demand, with proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets would be advantageous.
