Turning a first conversation into a long-term commercial relationship is where you make your impact. As a Business Development Executive, you’ll combine proactive prospecting with warm leads and account development, selling IT infrastructure and hardware solutions to businesses while building a pipeline you can genuinely influence.
You’ll be based from the Bishop's Stortford office, speaking with decision-makers across IT and procurement and getting out to meet clients face-to-face. From opening doors and understanding requirements to developing existing accounts, you’ll have ownership of opportunities throughout the sales process.

Your responsibilities as Business Development Executive
- Identify and engage potential B2B customers through cold calling, networking and targeted outreach.
- Follow up inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads, turning interest into qualified sales opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from initial discovery and technical scoping through proposals, negotiation and close.
- Present relevant IT solutions covering network installations, new and refurbished server hardware and IT asset disposal.
- Meet IT Managers, CTOs and Procurement Heads face-to-face to understand requirements and build lasting commercial relationships.
- Develop won accounts to generate repeat business, upgrades and lifecycle replacement opportunities while maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts.
What we’re looking for in a Business Development Executive
- Proven experience within B2B sales, outbound telemarketing or business development.
- A track record of achieving or exceeding sales KPIs and commercial targets.
- Strong telephone-based sales, objection-handling and client engagement skills.
- A full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for client meetings.
- An understanding of, or interest in, IT infrastructure and hardware solutions would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
