Job summary

Versende Legal in Birmingham is recruiting a Business Development Assistant on a hybrid basis. You will support BD activities across the Birmingham office, help fuel campaigns, and track leads with partners and fee earners.

This is a brand‑new role designed to shape BD in Birmingham with backing from the London team. You will bring early BD/marketing exposure, strong attention to detail, and solid written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Early BD or Marketing experience in professional services is preferred.
• High attention to detail and high standards in outputs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Demonstrates initiative, drive and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting BD activity across the Birmingham office, from conferences and events to pitches, bids and client development.
• Researching target sectors, companies and industry bodies to fuel BD campaigns.
• Tracking new business leads and following up on BD pipelines with partners and fee earners.
• Working alongside the Marketing team to deliver events and thought leadership across the Midlands.
• Being the welcoming face of the Birmingham office and keeping it running smoothly.

This is a brand new role, created to drive Business Development across their Birmingham office, with the full backing of an established BD and Marketing team in London. You will not be slotting into someone else's shoes. You will be helping to shape how BD works in Birmingham from day one.

What you will be doing:
