Salary: £65,000.00 to £75,000.00 per annum

Business Development Manager

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager in the London area. You will be responsible for selling our full suite of offerings into the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have experience selling a broad range of solutions, including Building Automation, Operations Optimization Software Solutions, Instrumentation, and ongoing Service and Support. You will aim to achieve sales targets from both existing and new accounts, aligned with our business initiatives.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Develop a strong understanding of the customer’s business needs and identify solutions through our product portfolio.
  2. Focus within a target sector to develop existing relationships, maximize opportunities, and seek new business.
  3. Work towards sales targets, demonstrating determination and a proactive spirit.
  4. Understand and promote cross-selling of the full solution portfolio, including BAS Controls, Fire and Security, SaaS solutions, and Access Controls.
Required Skills and Experience
  1. At least 5 years of sales experience within the Smart Buildings/Building Technologies industry, including new business hunting.
  2. Extensive background in selling Automation Technology and/or Software solutions into the Construction Industry.
  3. Knowledge, experience, and contacts within a target vertical, ideally Healthcare or Defence sectors.
  4. Experience in Building Automation sales and cross-selling solution offerings.
  5. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas in complex environments.
  6. Experience dealing with enterprise-level customers and engaging with various stakeholders.
  7. Good understanding of the industry value chain and client needs, enabling clear presentation of our value proposition and solutions.
  8. Effective in highly matrixed environments with strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Position Details
  1. Title: Business Development Manager
  2. Location: Home-office based with regular travel within London; applicants outside London may be considered if suitable.
  3. Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 base + 40% commission + benefits
  4. Interview process: 2-3 stages
