Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Business Resilience Specialist to strengthen the BCMS and help ensure critical services continue during disruption. You will lead BIAs, business continuity plans and resilience exercises across business and technology.

You’ll support Disaster Recovery readiness, analyse data to drive improvements and embed best practice such as ISO 22301, with a proactive, stakeholder-focused approach in a flexible hybrid role.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering BIA, continuity planning and exercising.
• Understanding of DR testing, technology recovery and incident response.
• Strong analytical skills with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to translate technical concepts.
• Knowledge of BC best practices such as ISO 22301 and relevant standards.
• Experience supporting resilience programs in regulated environments.
• Continuous improvement mindset to enhance reporting and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver key business continuity activities, including BIAs, plans and exercises.
• Support Disaster Recovery readiness and assurance with technology teams.
• Assist operation, testing and improvement of crisis management frameworks.
• Analyse BC, DR and crisis data and produce insights for decision-making.
• Use digital/AI-enabled tools to improve reporting and efficiency.
• Build relationships across business and technology to embed resilience.
• Support governance activities: track tests, remediation and improvements.
