Job summary

prosource.it is seeking a proactive Business Analyst to join our Glasgow team. You will partner with IT and operations, translate business needs into clear technology outcomes, and help shape solutions across enterprise IT and OT, including energy operations. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and delivering value through well-designed technology.

Location: Glasgow with occasional travel to Perth and Aberdeen. Contract type: contract or permanent considered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT environments.
• Experience documenting application landscapes and data flows across domains.
• Ability to review designs with architects and SI partners.
• Experience running discovery workshops and requirements sessions.
• Strong skills in creating BRDs, functional specs and user stories.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery; OT/SCADA experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with business stakeholders to understand goals and drivers.
• Analyse and document application, system and data flows; identify dependencies.
• Review solution designs with technical teams to ensure alignment.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to align stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into IT requirements, user stories and docs.
• Support delivery of technology solutions across IT and OT environments.
• Produce journeys, process maps and impact assessments for services.
