Jealott’s Hill is one of the main global research and development sites and key activities include research into discovery of new active ingredients, new formulation technologies, product safety, technical support of our product range, and seeds research.

Job Description

In our continuing mission to enable digital science across Crop Protection Research and Development (CP R&D), we are looking for an enterprise-level business analyst to deliver a significant, high-value, and impactful transformation across the global Product Biology function. This role will help understand how our inventions and technologies deliver innovative products to our customers.

You will be curious, courageous to act, and will build a deep understanding of how processes and outcomes support the creation of new active ingredients, biologicals, and modalities of product innovation, including soil health and bio-stimulants. You will create a stakeholder engagement strategy to support a change roadmap, enable incremental delivery, and realize new opportunities from inception of field trials to key product decisions.

Collaborating with science and IT colleagues, you will support multi-million dollar investments into DevOps teams, focusing on creating field experiments, capturing data, developing FAIR data products, and leveraging AI and digital applications from R&D into commercial digital products.

You will identify organizational needs, translate them into initiatives and epics for delivery teams, and maintain delivery momentum.

Accountabilities

1. Define and maintain a 3-5 year IT strategy aligned with business goals to generate value.
2. Ensure data products are FAIR.
3. Manage a portfolio of IT investments aligned with strategy.
4. Oversee multiple backlogs at the epic level across capabilities.
5. Contribute to the business analyst community through best practices, peer review, mentoring, and coaching.
6. Promote a culture of considered risk-taking.
7. Lead the development of a digital future landscape with key stakeholders.
8. Identify opportunities for breakthrough initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis across various domains, from incremental to strategic influence.
• 2+ years in an Agile (preferably DevOps) environment.
• Experience in life sciences R&D is desirable.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies.
• Strong consensus-building and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to anticipate issues.
• Capable of managing complexity and uncertainty.

Critical Knowledge and Education

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Customer focus, communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills.
• Awareness of external technological and scientific advances.
• Ability to operate independently in complex scientific or sustainability environments while ensuring compliance.
• Fluency in English.
