Job Description:

In our continuing mission to enable digital science across Crop Protection Research and Development (CP R&D), we are looking for an enterprise-level business analyst to deliver a significant, high-value, and impactful transformation across the global Product Biology function. This role involves understanding how new inventions and technologies deliver innovative products to customers.

You will be curious, courageous, and committed to building a deep understanding of how processes and outcomes support the creation of new Active ingredients, from small chemical molecules to biologicals and new modalities like soil health and bio-stimulants. You will develop a stakeholder engagement strategy, support the creation of a change roadmap, and facilitate incremental delivery of new opportunities across the product biology lifecycle, from field trials to key product decisions.

Working beyond R&D with colleagues in science and IT, you will support multi-million dollar investments into DevOps teams, creating field experiments, capturing data, developing FAIR data products, and leveraging AI and digital applications from R&D into commercial digital products.

You will identify organizational needs, translate them into initiatives and epics for delivery teams, and maintain a steady delivery rhythm.

Accountabilities

  • Define and maintain a 3-5 year IT strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure data products are FAIR.
  • Manage a portfolio of IT investments.
  • Oversee multiple backlogs in various capabilities and products.
  • Contribute to the business analyst community, setting best practices, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Promote a culture of considered risk-taking.
  • Lead the development of a digital future landscape across R&D capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for breakthrough initiatives.

Experience/Previous jobs required

  • 5+ years in business analysis across domains, from incremental to strategic influence.
  • 2+ years in an Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Experience in life sciences R&D is desirable.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to handle complexity and uncertainty.

Critical knowledge and education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Customer focus, teamwork, negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of advances in science and technology.
  • Ability to operate independently in a complex environment while ensuring compliance.
  • Fluency in English.
