Tendring District Council is recruiting six Business Administration Level 3 Apprentices to join teams across the council. You will gain real workplace experience and work toward the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.
You will develop communication, IT and organisation skills while supporting services and contributing to projects that benefit our communities. This apprenticeship offers learning on the job with strong progression opportunities within the council.
Tendring District Council is responsible for providing district level services in the Tendring District, which includes towns such as Clacton-on-Sea, Brightlingsea, Harwich, Dovercourt, Frinton-on-Sea, Manningtree, and Walton on the Naze. The council is based in Clacton on Sea, the largest town in the district. The district was formed in 1974.

We are recruiting six Business Administration Level 3 Apprentices to join teams across Tendring District Council and play an important role in supporting services during a period of excitingchange as we prepare for Local Government Reorganisation.
This is more than an administration role - it’s an opportunity to develop valuable skills, gain real workplace experience, and be part of projects that make a difference to our local community.
As an apprentice:
One day you might be supporting a team meeting, the next helping prepare information for a project, responding to residents' enquiries or improving a process that helps services run more efficiently.
You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship to achieve the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification, giving you a strong foundation for a future career in local government, business administration, project support, customer services, or many other professional roles.

You may already have some work experience through employment, volunteering, school, college or other activities, and you will be able to demonstrate that you are organised, reliable and willing to take on new challenges.

There are many opportunities for progression within Tendring District Council - many apprentices stay within the department they undertake their apprenticeship with others apply for positions and work in other departments. Many apprentices also progress onto a higher apprenticeship.
