Job summary

West Coast Motors (Bute) is seeking experienced Bus Drivers for roles based on the Isle of Bute, Rothesay. You will operate modern buses on scenic routes, delivering a safe, friendly passenger experience and helping local residents and visitors reach their destinations.

We offer permanent employment with flexible full-time or part-time options, varied shift patterns, overtime on Saturdays, 30 days holiday, Driver CPC training, and free travel for you and your partner on West Coast Motors

Qualifications

• Valid PCV licence entitlement.
• 2+ years of bus driving or similar customer-facing transport experience.
• Clear driving and punctuality record.
• Ability to deliver safe, reliable journeys and handle payments if required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles on scheduled services and other allocated work.
• Deliver excellent customer service and a safe, comfortable journey for every passenger.
• Help connect local communities by getting customers to their destinations safely and on time.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and responsibly, where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
• Provide travel information and assistance to customers when required.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
• Represent West Coast Motors positively through driving standards, appearance and customer care.

We're looking for professional, customer-focused Bus Drivers to join our friendly team on the Isle of Bute. We have opportunities available on both a full-time and part-time basis.

Working on the Isle of Bute

Based at our depot in Rothesay, you'll help connect local communities across the Isle of Bute. Operating modern vehicles on some of Scotland's most scenic routes, you'll be part of a supportive local team in a varied role where no two days are the same.

As a Bus Driver, you will:
