Job summary

West Coast Motors (Campbeltown) is seeking Trainee Bus & Coach Drivers to join our Campbeltown depot. No prior bus driving experience is required; we provide in-house training to obtain your PCV licence and start a rewarding career.

Eligible training costs up to £2,500 are covered under our training agreement. After qualification, you will serve local residents and visitors, delivering safe, reliable journeys across Scotland’s scenic routes.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (clean) required.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Professional, dependable and safety-conscious mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to training.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate buses/coaches after training.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure passenger safety.
• Help passengers reach destinations on time.
• Handle cash/card payments where applicable.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work independently with high safety and reliability standards.
• Represent West Coast Motors through driving and appearance.
• Support local communities with reliable transport.

We have a fantastic opportunity forTrainee Bus & Coach Driversto join our friendly team based at ourCampbeltown depot.

No previous bus or coach driving experience is required. Through our in-house training school, we will provide the training, support and funding you need to gain your PCV licence and begin a rewarding career as a professional driver.

We will cover eligible training costs up to the value of£2,500, including theory and practical tests, travelling expenses and accommodation, subject to the terms and conditions of our training agreement.

Working in Campbeltown

Based at our Campbeltown depot, you will help keep local communities connected while enjoying a role that offers variety, responsibility and a genuine sense of purpose.

Once qualified, you will play an important role in helping local residents and visitors travel safely and reliably to work, school, appointments, shops and other destinations. You will become part of a supportive local team where no two days are the same, operating through some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery.

What You'll Be Doing

Once you have successfully completed your training and gained your PCV licence, you will:

• Safely and professionally operate buses and coaches as required
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure every passenger enjoys a safe and comfortable journey
• Help customers reach their destinations safely and on time
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and responsibly where required
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and professionalism
• Represent West Coast Motors positively through your driving, appearance and customer care
• Support local communities by providing a reliable and professional transport service

What We're Looking For

To apply, you must have:

• A full, clean UK driving licence
• At least one year's driving experience
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• The confidence to work independently

• A home address within a reasonable travelling distance of Campbeltown
