Job summary

Go North West is recruiting bus drivers to serve Greater Manchester, including Bolton, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Competitively paid (£13.45–£20.41 per hour) and supported by our Driver Academy training, you will help people access work, education and essential services.

Join a welcoming team focused on safety, reliability and customer service, with DBS checks where required and progression opportunities across depots.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Good communication skills and enjoy working with people.
• Commitment to providing a welcoming service and supporting local communities.
• Demonstrable commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.
• Willingness to undergo Driver Academy training to obtain PCV licence where required.
• Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check.

Go North West operate services across Greater Manchester, with opportunities available from our Bolton, Wigan and Denton depots.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable and welcoming journeys for customers across Greater Manchester.
• Deliver excellent customer service to people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.
• Support passengers to access work, education, healthcare and other essential services.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support teams to deliver reliable transport services.

Requirements

We're interested in hearing from people with a positive approach to customer service and a commitment to supporting their local community.

You will:

• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points and have the right to work in the UK.
• Have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.
• Be committed to providing a welcoming service for customers.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.
• Ability to undergo necessary training and acquire a PCV licence through our esteemed Driver Academy, where required
• Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.

Previous bus driving experience is welcome but not essential, as training opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

For trainee opportunities, applicants must have been a UK resident for at least three years.
