Job summary

Go North West in Bolton is recruiting bus drivers to support communities across Greater Manchester. You will provide safe, reliable journeys and customer service while helping people access work, education, healthcare and leisure activities.

We welcome both experienced drivers and newcomers. Training to obtain a PCV licence through our Driver Academy is available, with flexible full-time and part-time roles and supportive benefits including a pension and EAP.

Go North West operate services across Greater Manchester, with opportunities available from our Bolton, Wigan and Denton depots.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable and welcoming journeys for customers across Greater Manchester.
• Deliver excellent customer service to people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.
• Support passengers to access work, education, healthcare and other essential services.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support teams to deliver reliable transport services.
• Maintain high standards of safety, punctuality and professionalism.
• Follow company policies and support a positive health and safety culture.

Requirements

We're interested in hearing from people with a positive approach to customer service and a commitment to supporting their local community.

You will:

• Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points and have the right to work in the UK.
• Have good communication skills and enjoy working with people.
• Be committed to providing a welcoming service for customers.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.
• Ability to undergo necessary training and acquire a PCV licence through our esteemed Driver Academy, where required
• Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process.

Previous bus driving experience is welcome but not essential, as training opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

For trainee opportunities, applicants must have been a UK resident for at least three years.
