Job summary

West Coast Motors (Ardrishaig) is offering an apprenticeship for an Apprentice PCV Mechanic in Ardrishaig. You will learn from experienced engineers while helping to maintain and repair buses and coaches across Scotland.

This structured program combines workshop experience with formal training to gain a recognised qualification. You'll gain hands-on experience on vehicle servicing, inspections, and systems with dedicated support.

Qualifications

• No previous bus or coach engineering experience required.
• Eagerness to learn and enjoy practical work.
• Interest in mechanics and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnosis.
• Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems work.
• Engine and gearbox removal and replacement.
• Brake, steering and suspension systems work.
• Workshop safety procedures and industry standards.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and repair techniques.
