West Coast Motors on the Isle of Bute is seeking an experienced Bus Driver for a permanent role. You will operate modern vehicles on scheduled routes, ensuring safety and excellent customer service for residents and visitors alike.

The position offers full-time and part-time options, with flexible shift patterns and paid sixth-day overtime. Training, development, and staff benefits accompany a supportive depot team on scenic Scotland routes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid PCV licence entitlement.
• A digital tachograph card is required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Live on the Isle of Bute or be willing to relocate to the area.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles on scheduled services and other allocated work.
• Deliver excellent customer service and a safe, comfortable journey for every passenger.
• Help connect local communities by getting customers to their destinations safely and on time.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately and responsibly, where required.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
• Provide travel information and assistance to customers when required.
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
• Represent West Coast Motors positively through your driving standards, appearance and customer care.

Working on the Isle of Bute

Based at our depot in Rothesay, you’ll help connect local communities across the Isle of Bute. Operating modern vehicles on some of Scotland’s most scenic routes, you’ll be part of a supportive local team in a varied role where no two days are the same.
