Job summary

Evri in Peterborough is seeking a Bulk Driver to join the UKs premier parcel delivery company. You will drive a modern Volvo truck from our fleet, designed for comfort with high-spec features to support long days on the road.

Shift patterns run Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts with 45 hours per week, typically starting around 7–8am. This is a permanent contract with a salary of £35,900 per year.

Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them.
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws.

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry from a Volvo fleet, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Plan routes and load/unload as required at sites.
• Inspect vehicle daily and complete Defect Report if needed.

WhatYoullDo:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old.Theyrea joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leatherseatsand many more optional extras to make sureyourecomfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance whereyoullbe driving, taking the stress out of your day.

Key Role Responsibilities

Wedontmicromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, sotheresplenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - butyoullstill be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.

Youllmake sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time. At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others,youllneed to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.

Youllbe responsible forinspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.
