Ageas Insurance Ltd is seeking a Claims Buildings Consultant with extensive experience in loss analysis and complex property claims, to provide technical support and governance across the claims team.

You will work with Technical Leads and Senior Handlers, contributing to fair outcomes and customer advocacy, drawing on building pathology knowledge and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of complex property claims handling for an Insurer or an Adjusting firm/Managing General Agent.
• Member of or working towards professional qualifications (CII, CIOB, RICS) or possess exceptional property claims experience.
• Strong building pathology knowledge including Schedule of Rates, tendering, and JCT experience.

• Supporting the departmental execution of focused claims Indemnity initiatives.
• Delegated Authority -Influencing process within and out with DA arrangements for Ageas supply chain. Supporting audits to optimise workflow, satisfy adherence and inform arrangements between Ageas and SN partners.
• Develop and support claims handling interventions where derailment or spend deterioration occurs keeping close to dissatisfaction and root cause analysis to drive improved outcomes.
• Identify and address supplier performance issues case-by-case and drive organic behavioural improvement in conjunction with the Supplier Relationship Managers.

As such, Ageas Insurance are looking for a Claims Buildings Consultant, with extensive experience in loss analysis, as well as a strong understanding of insurance industry scoping tools and technology for loss validation, triage and settlement optimisation.

As a Claims Buildings Consultant, you will provide technical support and referral assistance to Technical Leads and Senior Claims Handlers, supporting technical capability and governance, gathering insights through referrals, targeted file reviews, escalated case support. You will use supply chain performance insight to support the smooth delivery of customer and business outcomes in real time for Ageas customers and teams.

Main Responsibilities as Claims Buildings Consultant:

• Strong customer empathy and working knowledge of regulation including TCF and FOS outcomes.

Skills and experience you need as Claims Buildings Consultant:

• Significant experience of complex property claims handling for an Insurer or an Adjusting firm/Managing General Agent.
• Member of or working towards CII, CIOB, RICS professional qualifications, or a desire to do so unless you possess exceptional property claims experience.
• Strong building pathology knowledge including Schedule of Rates, producing/reviewing tenders, and Joint Contracts Tribunal experience desired.
• Experience of process and operational improvement programmes beneficial.
• CII or CILA qualifications desired or working towards
