Job summary

BAS Facilities Management Ltd. (BASFM) is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves performing minor repairs across building systems, operating equipment, and maintaining safety and cleanliness across sites.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with senior technicians, and help with startup/shutdown of major equipment. Strong communication and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance and repairs of complex building systems.
• Certificate in Maintenance Technician.
• Building Environment System Certificate or relevant trade license (asset).
• Experience with building automation systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs.
• Respond quickly in emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Operate a variety of motorized and heavy equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Order parts as needed and maintain maintenance logs.
• Assist with startup/shutdown of major building equipment with the team.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance logs daily.
