Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Building Services or Building Surveying.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.
• Extensive post-qualification building surveying experience.
• Proven experience leading teams and complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building regulations.
• IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience managing budgets, procurement and contracts.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of surveying professionals and technical officers.
• Oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance and capital improvement programmes.
• Deliver complex building and refurbishment projects on time and within budget.
• Manage contractor performance, quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Lead procurement activities, tender exercises and contract administration.
• Prepare specifications, drawings and contract documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, building regulations and CDM requirements.
• Manage complaints, contract disputes and stakeholder relationships.
• Produce reports and provide professional advice to senior leadership teams.
• Develop policies, strategies and service improvement initiatives.

Building Surveying Manager Location: Ipswich. Salary: £48,738 - £50,908 per annum. Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Hybrid role.

Are you an experienced Building Surveying professional looking for a senior leadership opportunity? Our client is seeking a Building Surveying Manager to lead a team delivering high-quality maintenance, refurbishment and capital improvement programmes across a large residential property portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence strategic housing asset management, drive service improvements and oversee the successful delivery of complex construction projects from inception through to completion. Some site attendance on a weekly basis expected.

About You

Desirable experience includes Local Authority or Registered Social Landlord environments, management qualifications and NEBOSH certification.

The role will require occasional attendance at evening meetings and work outside normal office hours when required.
