Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a leading Property Services team. Based at home with frequent travel across South West London, you will deliver capital works across schemes and support the technical service function with capital investment, cyclical, fire safety and statutory maintenance services.

You will autonomously manage schemes, ensure time and budget compliance, and contribute to Asset Management strategies while maintaining high standards of customer

Qualifications

• Degree in a construction related discipline.
• Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in a housing association, private practice, local authority, or similar.
• Full contract administration responsibilities of a range of technical and complex major works projects; including preparing tender documentation, cost analysis and budgetary control, site management, supervising contractors, quality control and certification
• Robust understanding of current health and safety legislation, CDM (including Principal Designer experience) and comprehensive knowledge of other building related statutory obligations
• Robust knowledge and experience of Building Safety and Compliance good practice and statutory requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide professional surveying and technical support, contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of the Asset Management strategy.
• Work independently in supporting the technical service function which provides effective capital investment, cyclical, fire safety and statutory maintenance services, to time and budget, in line with legislation, policy, capital programme and strategic objectives.
• Manage and visit schemes across the patch.

Building Surveyor duties:
