Job summary

JLL is offering a Building Surveying Graduate programme in Birmingham, aiming to develop professionals toward APC and Chartered status. The 2–3 year trainee period includes site visits, reports, and coordination on contracts, with a pathway toward APC and Chartered Building Surveyor.

The role begins on 6 September 2027, with a permanent contract and a salary of £29,000. The programme supports education, mentoring, and professional qualification achievement.

Qualifications

• Degree – Minimum 2:2 Bachelor's or Master's in Building Surveying accredited by RICS.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites to perform Building Surveyor inspections and desktop survey research.
• Prepare reports outlining property/site condition after inspections.
• Act as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent on fit-out/refurbishment contracts.
• Negotiate dilapidations schedules and plan exit strategies for required repairs.
• Support with planning preventative maintenance and portfolio coordination.
• Stay updated with building, sustainability standards, and pathology knowledge.
