Job summary

Mitie Group plc in Aberdeen is seeking a Building Services Supervisor to lead a team of engineers delivering planned preventive maintenance and reactive works across North East Scotland College sites.

You will ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual SLA and KPI requirements, while driving high standards of customer service and operational performance.

The role offers ongoing training, development and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Services or FM supervisory role.
• Strong maintenance planning, PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management.
• Able to plan, organise and prioritise workloads while maintaining service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineers delivering PPM, reactive maintenance and quoted works.
• Ensure works meet safety, efficiency, and contractual SLA/KPI.
• Monitor asset management, maintenance schedules and remedial actions.
• Promote RAMS, permit-to-work systems and company procedures.
• Coach and develop engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.

LOCATION: Gallowgate, Aberdeen

We're looking for a Building Services Supervisor who will lead a team of engineers across North East Scotland College sites, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of maintenance services while driving high standards of customer service and operational performance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and quoted works across multiple sites.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual SLA and KPI requirements.
• Monitor asset management activities, maintenance schedules, and the timely completion of remedial actions arising from inspections.
• Promote compliance with health & safety standards, RAMS, permit-to-work systems, and company procedures.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering teams while driving continuous improvement, engagement, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Proven experience in a Building Services, Facilities Management, or Engineering Supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial environment.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance requirements, and safe systems of work.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads while maintaining high service standards.
