Job description

BAM Construction is currently recruiting for a Building Services Manager with a background in Commissioning to join the team based in Stepps. This is a full-time role offering a hybrid working model, including office, site (Dargavel School in Renfrewshire), and home working. BAM promotes flexible working policies.

Your mission

The successful candidate will have experience managing the design, delivery, and commissioning of Building Services in construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with Tender & Preconstruction Teams to meet client requirements and ensure proposals align with contract needs.
2. Vetting subcontractors’ tenders for compliance.
3. Ensuring timely provision of Building Services information to meet project needs.
4. Supporting Site Management and H&S Teams with method statements and safe systems of work.
5. Managing design, drawings, and approvals in line with project timelines.
6. Integrating building services into the delivery programme with Planning and Project Management teams.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulations, planning conditions, specifications, and BREEAM standards.
8. Establishing quality systems and conducting quality control inspections using BIM 360.
9. Monitoring project progress and assisting in programme reviews.
10. Leading meetings with subcontractors and documenting outcomes.
11. Supporting commercial reviews and change management.
12. Managing the commissioning process, including system validation and user training.
13. Providing utility quotations and managing site temps.
14. Completing 'as installed' drawings and O&M Manuals.
15. Participating in client meetings as required.
16. Overseeing subcontractor installation, testing, commissioning, and health & safety compliance.
