Job description

We're looking for a mechanically biased Building Services Manager to join our business. Kier is working in partnership to deliver a long-term pipeline of varied projects for the MOD across Faslane and Coulport Naval bases. If you want security of an ongoing pipeline and involvement in a wide range of works, then this could be the role for you.

Hours: 40

What will you be responsible for?

As Building Services Manager, you will play a key role in managing the MEP elements of projects from pre-construction through to commissioning. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the selection of sub-contractors from the supply chain
• Managing the commissioning process and ensuring compliance of as-built and maintenance manuals
• Collating the team's project reports and providing a summary report to the Technical Director regarding supervised projects
• Assisting in design management for M&E packages
• Reviewing technical submittals from subcontractors
• Coordinating M&E services on-site with project teams
• Managing commissioning and sign-off processes

What are we looking for?

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification – Degree, HND, or SVQ
• Have high-level technical knowledge of M&E design and installation in large commercial buildings and infrastructure
• Have experience working within a main contracting or large MEP contractor environment, managing specialist subcontractors
• Have delivered large building services packages valued GBP 2M+
