Building Services Manager - Preconstruction Team

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Building Services Manager to join our high-performing Preconstruction team in the Midlands. Willmott Dixon is driven by quality and customer service. The successful candidate will manage the preconstruction phase through tender and design development, ensuring the production of high-quality information and accurate costs. You will work alongside our Preconstruction team, conducting technical reviews of tender documents, liaising with the estimating team, and adjusting designs accordingly. Additionally, you will coordinate the supply chain and oversee service handovers between preconstruction and delivery teams to ensure a compliant services tender. This role involves working across multiple projects simultaneously.

You will be based in our Birmingham or Nottingham office, with support for hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage qualitative, technical, and commercial appraisal of building services tenders.
  • Identify compliant services solutions for tenders.
  • Ensure technical compliance of services design across projects.
  • Conduct building services gap analysis.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain.
  • Participate in tender meetings, reviews, and adjudications.
  • Oversee service handovers to ensure compliance.
  • Uphold our customer-first ethic.
Requirements
Essential
  • Appropriate CSCS card and valid driving license.
  • Managerial experience in the services sector.
  • Understanding of M&E and services legislation.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with various M&E projects across sectors.
Desirable
  • Level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4).
  • Design or estimating experience.
  • Progress towards MCIOB or CIBSE.
