Job summary

Canary Wharf Management Limited is seeking a Maintenance Operator to undertake prescribed maintenance tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor or Building Services Manager.

Working on a rotating roster 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am, the role offers a salary of £55,886 per year plus a 3% shift allowance and requires an electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant building services experience. You will diagnose faults, perform servicing and supervise subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical qualification with C&G parts 1 and 2 or NVQ Level 3.
• Experience in modern building services maintenance with HVAC understanding.
• Desirable completion of Electrical Installation BS7671 18th edition.

Responsibilities

• Identify faults and carry out repairs, adjustments and maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine servicing in line with maintenance schedules.
• Work with others to ensure cost-effective task completion.
• Operate building control systems to monitor plant and diagnose faults.
• Assist in commissioning / decommissioning of plant under supervision.
• Supervise subcontractors as appropriate.
• Record data accurately and keep areas clean and safe.
