Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Operative for London-based student accommodation sites across Canary Wharf, Westminster, Tower Bridge and King's Cross.

You will perform reactive repairs, planned maintenance and general upkeep across modern residential properties, ensuring safety, compliance and high presentation standards while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance or handyperson background.
• Experience in painting, decorating and general building repairs.
• Customer-focused with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently.
• Happy working shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance (PPM).
• Basic plumbing, painting, decorating and general handyman repairs.
• Daily building inspections using a CAFM system/iPad.
• Supporting contractors and maintaining maintenance records.
• Ensuring Health & Safety and compliance standards are met.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Operative, you'll carry out reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and general building upkeep across modern residential properties. Working alongside the wider site team, you'll ensure buildings remain safe, compliant and well-presented.
