Job summary

Middlesbrough College is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Lecturer in Building Services Engineering to join our Construction department. You will deliver the Core curriculum of the Level 3 T Level in Building Services Engineering, teaching a range of subjects including construction science, building technology, sustainability, construction design and digital technologies.

This is primarily a classroom-based role, with opportunities to support practical learning where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Qualified Assessor or willingness to work towards.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Construction, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Building Services Engineering and Construction programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Support students to achieve successful outcomes in examinations and assessments.
• Utilise diagnostic assessment tools to identify learning strengths and development needs.
• Maintain accurate records in line with College and awarding body requirements.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Participate in recruitment, enrolment, open events and other promotional activities.
