Job summary

Dovetail and Slate in Newbury is seeking a Building Services Course Leader & Lecturer to deliver engaging teaching across Building Services Engineering programmes, including T Levels.

You will lead curriculum development, mentor learners, and work with industry partners to ensure courses meet current standards. The role is permanent and full-time, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong industry experience within Building Services Engineering, Electrical Installation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Passion for supporting and developing learners.
  • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging teaching across Building Services Engineering programmes, including T Levels.
  • Inspire and support learners preparing for careers within the construction and building services industry.
  • Share current industry knowledge, standards and best practice through engaging lessons.
  • Plan and develop high-quality teaching, learning and assessment materials.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide guidance to maximise achievement.
  • Lead and support the development of the Building Services curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate course records and documentation.
  • Work closely with employers and industry partners to ensure programmes reflect industry needs.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

Salary: £30,160 - £39,034 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role
  • Deliver engaging teaching across Building Services Engineering programmes, including T Levels.
