Job summary

Acorn is seeking a Building Services Engineer to perform planned maintenance across client sites in North and North West London. The role requires a solid understanding of HVAC systems, independent workload management, and strong client-facing communication.

The successful candidate will hold mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence. Salary up to £44,000 plus overtime and callouts; 41.25 hours per week; company van and fuel card; 25 days holiday.

  • Solid understanding of HVAC, heating and ventilation systems.
  • Ability to plan workloads and work independently.
  • Strong communication and a customer-focused approach.

We are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across client sites in North and North West London

Salary: up to £44000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a reliable and professional Building Services Engineer who takes pride in planned maintenance work and understands the importance of consistency, presentation, and client engagement.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Proven experience working as a Building Services or Maintenance Engineer

A solid understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC systems, heating, ventilation, and associated plant

The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and plan workloads efficiently

Strong communication skills and a professional, customer‑focused approach

A good understanding of health and safety and site compliance

Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (City & Guilds or equivalent preferred)

A full UK driving licence
