Job summary

Acorn is seeking a Building Services Engineer to perform planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites in South and South East London. You will work independently but be supported by a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team.

The role requires strong M&E knowledge, HVAC experience, and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations. A full UK driving licence is preferred and a driver-friendly role is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of M&E building services.
• Experience with HVAC plant including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating and ventilation systems.
• Understanding of Legionella control.
• Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, servicing and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
• Respond to call-outs during normal working hours and participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota.
• Communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Liaise with the internal helpdesk and administration teams.
• Maintain accurate job reports, log books and documentation.
• Keep Contracts Managers informed of job progress and site issues.
• Attend sites punctually, presented professionally and wearing appropriate PPE.
