Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Building Services Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) for a King's Cross, London site. You will monitor and maintain critical building systems, performing PPM and reactive maintenance to M&E plant.

Responsibilities include fault finding, coordinating permits to work, supervising subcontractors, and using Maximo to keep work tickets and documentation up to date. Ensure safe operations and timely repairs to keep systems running.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of M&E systems and critical building services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPMs on mechanical and electrical plant according to site schedules and asset lists.
• Respond to reactive and breakdown tasks; propose improvements where applicable.
• Manage and supervise sub-contractors; secure approvals and safe operation during on-site works.
• Operate Permit to Work system per BGIS quality and client safety procedures.
• Ensure plant faults are remedied promptly to keep systems in service.
• Maintain accurate records, spare parts lists, timescales for remedial work, and paper-work.
